To Launch The Aftermath Tour January
25, 2000
Osiris will be launching The Aftermath Tour starting May 5, 2000 through
June 2, 2000, Osiris's entire pro and am team will be on the road hitting
major cities around the U.S. The skate demos will be held at a local shop
and/or skatepark. Along with the demo there will be a live D.J. who will
be spinning cuts and giving product away. After the demo, Osiris will
be hosting an after party featuring live D.J.'s.
Some of the cities tentatively scheduled on the tour include: Pheonix,
Albuquerque, Dallas, New York, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Indianapolis,

Accel Rolls Through First Team Tour

The Accel Wheel Team recently completed it's first team tour through the
Southwest United States. All were present (Chad Bartie, Rob Gonzales,
Kristian Svitak, Stacy Lowery, Steffan Attardo, Joey Pulsifer, Mike Vallely,
Danny Montoya) except Chet Childress who was home in North Carolina nursing
a broken ankle. The team did demos along the way and attended the Make
A Wish benefit in Houston, Texas.
In other Accel Wheel news, they will be be launching it's new City Series
Wheels. These wheels are softer for rolling over urban terrain more smoothly
but retain the performance and slideability desired by todays skaters.

line will be available this fall, and will be promoted by a strong pro

Yet another shoe company?
Lakai Limited Footwear Announced it's Team on January
10. They announced that they had aquired Rick Howard, Mike Carroll, Cairo
Foster, Scott Johnston, Rob Welsh, Anthony Poppalardo, and Jeff Lenoce.
According to the press release " Lakai's foundation will contribute further
inspiration to footwear and skateboarding." Like we haven't heard that
one before! Look for Lakai Limited Footwear product to be available April
1, 2000.
Ben Pappas To Be Sentenced For Importing Cocaine
Former World Skateboarding Champion Ben Pappas has been charged with importing
cocaine.
Ben Pappas, 21, of the Melbourne suburb of Moorabbin, will be sentenced
next week. December 20, 1999
Pappas was found at Melbourne Airport in June this year with about 100
grams of cocaine concealed in his shoes. He told the court he began using
marijuana at 13 years old, and that he first tried cocaine at 15 and by
the time he was 18 it had become part of his diet.
The court was told Pappas was an exceptionally talented skateboarder and
began travelling to the United States from the age of 14, largely unsupervised,
with his older brother, Tas.
At one stage the pair was ranked one and two in the world.

Steve Caballero has added Pro-Tec to his list of sponsors and will be
sporting his own signature helmet. Word on the street is that CAB will
be releasing a collectible, action figure along with three other pros.
Pat Channita went on a tour to Argentina and Paraguay with Reef Brazil
Shoes and is the WCS 1999 street champion.
Jason Ellis is happily married and the wedding was a beautiful success.
Jason did some demos with Colin McKay and Andy Mac during January in his
home country of Australia

Santos Gets G-Shocked
G-SHOCK, manufacturer of the Toughest Watch in the World(tm), are about
to try and con us all into buying there fancy watches by going athlete-specific
with the launch of three signature models to add to their collection.
The G-SHOCK skate team features Steve Caballero, Omar Hassan and Willy
Santos.
Real Skateboards
The Real Skateboards team, which includes Keith Hufnagel, Max Schaff,
Matt Field, Cairo Foster, Mat O'Brien, and new amateurs Damian Bravo and
J.T. Aultz have been filming with Bay Area photographer Gabe Morford for
a new Real video. The video will available sometime early 2000.

All you need to know is that poor old Matthew Ryan(videographer of Enter
the Dragon & Four Wheel Dragons) has the unfortunate task of seeing
which of our two daring stuntmen will be victorious. This film will be
